These are the rules for using Wrapture. They are written to be read, not to be skipped, so they are shorter and plainer than most. Using Wrapture means you accept them.

The short version

You build a page, you pay once, we publish it at a private link and keep it online. You own what you upload. You are responsible for having the right to upload it — especially photos of other people. You can edit the page for thirty days after you first publish it, and after that it is fixed. If you need something removed, ask us.

The sections below are the binding version. Where they say something different from this summary, they win.

Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep that Google account secure, because whoever controls it controls your Wrapture pages. Tell us at hello@wrapture.app if you think someone else has access.

You must be at least 16 to have an account, and if you are under 18 you need permission from a parent or guardian. One person per account; do not share credentials.

What you pay, and what it buys

Building a draft is free. Publishing costs a single flat fee per page — $19.99 USD — charged through Stripe at the moment you publish. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. The price excludes any tax that applies where you are.

The fee covers one page. A second gift is a second fee. Republishing a page you have already paid for, within the edit window, costs nothing more.

Payment is taken by Stripe, and completing checkout there is what unlocks publishing. If Stripe reports a payment as incomplete or reversed, the page may not publish or may be taken down.

Refunds

You can see exactly what you are buying before you pay — the builder shows you the finished page — so we do not offer refunds as a matter of course once a page is published.

We will refund you if the product does not work: if publishing fails, if your page will not load for its recipient because of a fault on our side, or if you were charged twice. Ask within 14 days at hello@wrapture.app and we will deal with it in good faith.

If you live somewhere that gives you a statutory right to cancel or a refund, that right stands regardless of this section. UK and EU consumers: publishing is the delivery of digital content, and by publishing you are asking us to start immediately and acknowledging you lose the 14-day withdrawal right at that point.

The thirty-day edit window

For thirty days after you first publish a page, you can unpublish it, make changes and publish it again to the same link, at no extra cost. After thirty days the page is frozen in whatever state you left it: still online if it was published, but no longer editable.

This is deliberate. A one-off payment buys one gift, not a page that can be emptied out and reused for a different occasion every year. If you have a genuine reason to change something after the window has closed — a typo in a name, a photo someone has asked you to remove — email us and we will help.

“Yours to keep”, and what we actually promise

We say elsewhere on this site that a published page is yours to keep, with no subscription and no expiry date. That is a real commitment and we want to state its edges honestly rather than let it quietly mean less than it sounds.

What we promise:

  • We will not delete your published page because time has passed, and we will not start charging you a recurring fee to keep it up.
  • We will not put advertising on it or sell what is in it.
  • If we ever decide to stop running Wrapture, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and provide a way to download your page's content and photos before it goes offline.

What we cannot promise:

  • That any online service lasts forever. We are a small operation. If Wrapture closes, the commitment above is what you get.
  • That a page stays up if it breaks these terms, if it is the subject of a valid legal complaint, or if the person it is about asks us to remove it. Those requests take priority — see the recipient's rights.

Because of that last point, and because no service is a backup: keep your own copies of the photos you upload. Wrapture is where the gift lives, not where your originals should live.

Your content, and the permission you are giving us

Everything you upload stays yours. We claim no ownership of your photos or your writing.

To run the service we need your permission to do specific technical things with it: store it, back it up, resize and transcode it so it loads properly, and display it to anyone who opens your page's link. That permission is worldwide and royalty-free, because serving a webpage is inherently both, and it lasts as long as the page is published. It exists only so we can show your gift to its recipient. We will not use your content to advertise Wrapture, and we will not use it to train machine learning models.

By uploading, you confirm that you either own the content or have permission to use it, and that you have the consent of anyone identifiable in a photo — including consent from a parent or guardian where someone is a child. This is the single most important promise you make to us, because we have no way of checking it.

What you may not put in a gift

Wrapture is for sentimental gifts. Do not use it for anything on this list:

  • Content involving a child sexually, in any form. This is reported to the authorities, not merely deleted.
  • Intimate or sexual images of anyone shared without their consent, and sexual content generally.
  • Harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing, or building a page to intimidate or humiliate its subject. A page dressed up as a gift is still harassment if that is what it is.
  • Content you do not have the rights to, including other people's photography, music and writing.
  • Hate speech, or content promoting violence or self-harm.
  • Malware, phishing, scams, or anything designed to deceive the person who opens it.
  • Anything illegal where you are or where we operate, and any attempt to break, overload, or find your way around the technical limits of the service.

We do not read your pages routinely, and we would rather not. But we can review content when someone reports it, and we can unpublish or delete a page and close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

Takedowns and copyright

If a page infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@wrapture.app identifying the work, the page link, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised, a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act, and your signature. We remove content for valid notices and can terminate repeat infringers.

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, reply and tell us why; we will look again.

If a page is about you and you want it gone, you do not need a copyright claim — see the privacy policy.

Availability, and what happens if Wrapture closes

We aim to keep Wrapture online continuously, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. Maintenance, outages at our hosting providers, and faults happen.

If we ever wind the service down, the commitments in “yours to keep” apply: advance notice by email and a way to get your content out before pages come offline.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using Wrapture at any time, delete individual pages from your home screen, or ask us to close your account entirely at hello@wrapture.app. Deleting a published page takes its link offline.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account for something you did not do wrong, we will refund the fees you paid for any page that is no longer available. Sections on content permissions, liability, indemnity and governing law survive the end of this agreement.

Disclaimers

Wrapture is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will never be lost.

Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be removed.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for the loss or corruption of content — which is why we ask you to keep your own copies.

Our total liability to you for any claim connected to Wrapture is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If your gift causes us a legal problem

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded — because you did not have the rights to a photograph, or because the person in it never agreed to appear — you agree to cover our reasonable costs and damages in defending it. We will tell you promptly if that happens and let you take part in the defence.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to them, or to your use of Wrapture, goes to the state or federal courts located in New York, and both of us consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer somewhere that entitles you to bring proceedings locally, or to the protection of your own country's mandatory law, that still applies.

Before starting anything formal, email us. Most problems are a misunderstanding and get fixed the same week.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. For changes that materially reduce what you get — the hosting commitment, the liability limits, the refund position — we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Wrapture after that means you accept the new version.
